BB denounces Eduardo Bolsonaro video and calls for AGU action against bank run

The Bank of Brazil reported to the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) a series of posts made last week on social media containing false information about the bank and encouraging massive withdrawals by account holders. The bank pointed out that the campaign could lead to a bank run against the institution due to false and incorrect understandings. According to a letter sent by the bank, the attacks on social media started last Tuesday (19). Among them, there is a video made by Eduardo Bolsonaro on Wednesday (20), where the federal deputy states that ‘Banco do Brasil will be cut from international relations, leading to its bankruptcy’.
