The final match of the 1st phase will see Brazil facing Serbia, scheduled for Wednesday at 23:00. The Czech Republic will go against China on the following day. The match began with Brazil dominating from the first point, despite some unforced errors in serves, they excelled in blocking and took the set with a comfortable 25-11 lead.
The second set started with the Europeans in the lead due to Vasina’s inspired performance, but Lucarelli and Allan came through for Brazil, leading them to a 2-0 advantage. The game remained close until 19-19, when the South Americans exploited the block and opponent’s mistakes to close it at 25-22.
The third set followed the same path, with Brazil closing it convincingly at 25-18. Cachopa shone brightly in the latter stages of the game and concluded a stellar performance by setting up Judson for the final point.
