Brazil has officially become a part of the case initiated by South Africa at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) accusing Israel of committing ‘genocide’ in the Gaza Strip. The Hague court confirmed Brazil’s participation on Friday, stating that Brazil cited Article 63 in support of its joining. This move aligns Brazil with other nations that have signed on to the case, such as Spain, Ireland, Mexico, and Turkiye. The ICJ has yet to announce a date for the proceedings. With Brazil now onboard, the case against Israel gains further international support and attention.
