Brazilian deported from the US goes missing after fleeing UPA in Minas Gerais

A Brazilian who was among the deportees brought back to Brazil on a flight from the United States has been reported missing after landing in the city of Confins (MG), being admitted to a UPA (Emergency Care Unit), and fleeing the location last Saturday (25). According to the MDHC (Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship), Iago Queiroz Costa, 32, arrived in Brazil last Wednesday (22) and received psychological care. “At the time, it was identified that Iago was showing signs of psychotic breakdown and delusions, although there was no immediate risk to himself or others,” the ministry informed. After evaluation, the Superintendence of the Ministry of Health in Minas Gerais instructed the SAMU to be called, and the man was then taken to the UPA in Vespasiano, where he was hospitalized.
