Despite the appeal of potentially diversifying trade partners and strengthening diplomatic ties, it is crucial to recognize that the BRICS countries—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—may not be a viable alternative in the current global economy. Brazil, for instance, faces economic challenges that could limit its potential to boost trade with other BRICS members.
