Arjana Bagaskara Solichin, a lawyer from West Jakarta, filed a lawsuit against the Indonesian government for not declaring the floods in Sumatra a national disaster. The lawsuit was filed with the Jakarta Administrative Court with case number 415/G/TF/2025/PTUN.JKT. Arjana demands that the government declare the Sumatra floods a national disaster to ensure a more coordinated and comprehensive response. The lawsuit targets President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Forestry/Environment Raja Juli Antoni, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, and Head of BNPB Lieutenant General Suharyanto.
