India’s commerce ministry has proposed imposing anti-dumping duties on solar cell imports from China for a period of three years. The goal behind this recommendation is to safeguard domestic manufacturers from the adverse effects of products being sold at prices below their normal value. Additionally, the ministry has also suggested imposing similar duties on paperboards from Chile and China, as well as soda ash from Turkey, Russia, USA, and Iran. Final decisions on these recommendations will be made by the finance ministry.
