A migrant sex offender, Hadush Kebatu, was mistakenly freed from prison and paid £500 to leave the UK. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood expressed anger over Kebatu’s release and worked to remove him from the country. Kebatu was flown back to Ethiopia after threatening to cause trouble during his deportation.
