Deported Minas Gerais Man Found in BH after Escape from Vespasiano UPA

Minas Gerais resident Iago Queiroz Costa, 32, who had been missing since being deported back from the United States and landing at Confins International Airport last Wednesday (10/22), was found at a bus terminal in the Itapoã neighborhood, in the Pampulha Region, in Belo Horizonte (MG), on Sunday morning (10/26).
In a conversation with Estado de Minas, Iago’s aunt, Virgínia Queiroz, recounted how he was located by the family: ‘He remembered a phone number, asked to borrow a phone, and contacted his brother. My nephew, Fernando Lucas, remained on the line with him, and he asked to be picked up,’ she stated.
According to Virgínia, their mother, Valéria Queiroz, shared the son’s location with the Civil Police, who located him and took him to a hospital. He was 20 kilometers away from the UPA where he disappeared.
