One of the readers of the magazine ‘Za Rulem’ asked to explain the differences between ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ robotized gearboxes. Ilya Khlebushkin, an expert from ‘Za Rulem,’ explained that dry robotic transmissions use a clutch, similar to a manual transmission, which helps with efficiency and performance. On the other hand, wet robotic transmissions use a hydraulic torque converter, providing smoother gear shifts and less wear and tear on the gearbox.
