Egypt Unveils World’s Largest Museum Celebrating Its Ancient Civilization

Cairo inaugurated the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest museum dedicated to ancient Egyptian civilization. The project, two decades in the making, is located near the Giza Pyramids on the outskirts of Cairo. The museum features over 50,000 artifacts that offer detailed insights into life in ancient Egypt. World leaders, monarchs, and heads of states attended the grand opening, which the Egyptian presidency described as ‘an exceptional event in the history of human culture’. President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi highlighted the museum’s role in merging the genius of ancient Egyptians and the creativity of modern Egyptians to enhance global culture and art.
