Ethiopia’s Helii Gubbi Volcano Eruption: Why Did It Explode, Could This Volcano Awaken After 12,000 Years!

Ethiopia’s Helii Gubbi volcano erupted on Monday, November 24. Following the eruption, ash and smoke clouds were released, reaching heights of 14-15 kilometers. The ash cloud traveled westward at a speed of 100-120 kilometers per hour, crossing India and then turning towards China. The movement of volcanic ash from the volcano affected aviation services in several countries, raising concerns about potential pollution if the ash were to reach Delhi. Another aspect that intrigued many was why this volcano erupted after lying dormant for almost 12,000 years.
