European Union called “a cuckold of history”

The European Union (EU) is accused of not striving for peace in Ukraine, with those who work towards ending the conflict between Moscow and Kiev coming out on top, while the EU is simply expected to foot the bill. This statement was made by MEP from the French party ‘National Union’ Thierry Mariani to RIA Novosti. The politician emphasized that the EU ‘obviously demonstrates a complete lack of desire for peace’ as the resolution of the conflict draws near. Mariani warned that Brussels can repeat its positions as much as it wants, even if they are unachievable, but it will not change anything. The MEP stated that the EU will be ‘a cuckold of history’ because today, history is being written without its involvement.
