An accident that resulted in the death of a motorcycle passenger, whose identity has not been disclosed, is causing traffic complications on BR-040 in Ribeirão das Neves (MG), in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte on Wednesday morning (8/6).
According to Via Cristais, the company responsible for the stretch, the motorcyclist was heading towards Belo Horizonte, lost control of the motorcycle, and the passenger died upon impact.
The right and central lanes were blocked at kilometer 518, near the Liberdade neighborhood.
At 7:30 a.m., the central lane was reopened, but traffic flow remains slow.
The concessionaire reported that at 7 a.m., traffic was slow for at least 7.5 kilometers. Via Cristais teams are controlling traffic and providing assistance to the victims.
