The Military Police (MP) is searching for a 36-year-old man suspected of shooting and killing a 20-year-old man in the Célvia neighborhood in Vespasiano, MG, in the Greater Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region on Sunday night (8/17). According to the police report, the victim’s girlfriend reported that she and the young man were riding a motorcycle when they were stopped by two men in a silver Gol around 11:10 pm. One of the men, recognized by the witness, got out of the car and shot the victim. After the shots were fired, the suspect got back into the vehicle and fled. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and confirmed the young man’s death. According to the forensic examination, all the shots hit the victim’s head. The witness stated that the deceased and the shooter had a disagreement over a motorcycle exchange between them. No further details about the possible motivation were specified. The police went to the shooter’s address, and his brother confirmed that the man had left home in a silver Gol but had not yet returned. The brother also reported to the police that the suspect, along with their father, had threatened him before. The reason for the disagreement was not described in the police report. The suspect has not been located yet. The case is ongoing with the Vespasiano Civil Police Station.
