Fire Death Toll in Residential Complex in Hong Kong Reaches 55

Moscow. November 27th. INTERFAX.RU – The death toll in Hong Kong due to a fire that spread through a residential complex has risen to 55, with at least 72 people injured, according to the Associated Press news agency. The Guardian reported that among the deceased is one firefighter. Of the 72 injured, 45 are in critical condition in hospitals, nearly 280 people are still missing. The flames were only brought under control on Thursday morning, but the fire is not yet completely extinguished. Firefighters anticipate the operation could last at least until Thursday evening. There are 28 rescue teams working at the scene of the incident.
