Germany, France, and Great Britain have activated the so-called Snapback Mechanism against Iran. This leads to the return of previous UN sanctions. The reason for this step is Iran’s repeated serious violations of international agreements. In light of this, the German Foreign Office has issued a stronger warning for the country, advising all Germans – whether visiting family, as tourists, or on business trips – to leave Iran immediately. The activation of the Snapback Mechanism comes as a response to Iran’s failure to comply with its nuclear agreement commitments, raising concerns about the country’s actions and intentions.
