Great BH: App driver is executed while waiting for a passenger

An app driver, 45 years old, was executed inside the car he was working on in Santa Luzia (MG), in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, on Tuesday morning (9/16). Originally from Ribeirão das Neves (MG), the victim, identified as Adilson Batista da Silva, has several drug trafficking convictions and had already served time, was executed while picking up a passenger. The Military Police was called by a passenger, who reported that the driver had just parked the car to start the trip on Professor Lucas Machado Avenue when a motorcyclist stopped next to the vehicle and shot him. According to the witness, the shooter was alone on a green XRE model motorcycle. After the attack, he fled. The passenger had already entered the vehicle and managed to leave in fear. She is not a resident of the area and only requested the ride through the app. The victim was found lying in the car, with several gunshot wounds. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and confirmed the death. Initial forensic evidence indicates that Adilson was hit by at least 10 shots in different parts of his body. During the investigation, the forensic experts found an open Bible on the front passenger seat, inside the car. The victim was found lying inside the vehicle, with multiple injuries, and the coroner removed the body to the Belo Horizonte Legal Medical Institute (IML). The car was also taken by the Military Police. The case is under investigation. The Military Police is trying to identify the suspect and gather information about the motorcycle, such as the license plate, make, and model, as well as security camera footage from the area.
