In one of the deadliest terror attacks in modern history, terrorists targeted the Al-Rawda mosque in a small town in North Sinai, Egypt, on November 24, 2017. More than 300 people lost their lives as the mosque was packed with worshippers for the Friday prayers. A day to remember for music fans as legendary musician Freddie Mercury, lead singer of Queen, passed away on this day in 1991 at the age of 45. Nearly three decades earlier, on the same date in 1859, Charles Darwin published his revolutionary work ‘On the Origin of Species.’
