On August 15, India celebrated its 79th Independence Day, marking the country’s freedom from British rule in 1947. While the official celebrations took place in India, Indians living in various parts of the world also participated in the festivities. Indian Embassies in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates organized official events, including the hoisting of the national flag, community gatherings, and cultural performances.
