India issued a warning on Friday advising its citizens considering job opportunities in Iran to be extremely cautious following a series of cases involving fake job offers. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) emphasized the importance of exercising the “strictest vigilance” to avoid falling victim to fraudulent employment schemes. According to reports, there have been instances where individuals were lured by false job promises and later abducted for ransom. The MEA highlighted the need for Indians to thoroughly verify any job offers in Iran before making any commitments.
