Authorities in Indonesia have raised the death toll to 921 on Sunday due to the floods ravaging the northern part of Sumatra island, according to the latest breakdown from the emergency agency. Search and rescue teams are still trying to locate another 392 people who are missing—a decrease of 128 from Saturday’s figures—among the mud-covered mountains that are engulfing entire houses in some of the hardest-hit regions. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited Aceh province, one of the worst affected by the disaster, and announced several economic assistance measures for the victims. He urged authorities to expedite the distribution of humanitarian aid and food. In more remote areas without access by land, teams are using drones and helicopters to deliver supplies.
