Flooding and landslides have caused a significant death toll in Indonesia, surpassing 200 victims, according to information from disaster authorities. West Sumatra Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency spokesperson Ilham Wahab reported that 61 fatalities have been confirmed and another 90 individuals are still missing in the province. In North Sumatra, the death toll rose to 116, while in Aceh province, at least 35 people lost their lives due to the natural disasters. This devastating situation has led to a statewide search-and-rescue operation for the missing residents.
