Investigation Opened After AN-22 Crash in Ivanovo Region

According to the investigation, everyone on board the plane perished. Military investigators have launched a criminal case for violation of flight rules in connection with the crash of the AN-22 ‘Antei’ aircraft in the Ivanovo region, as reported by the Russian Investigative Committee. The military investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation at the Ivanovo garrison confirmed the criminal case under Article 351 of the Russian Criminal Code. At present, investigators are determining all the circumstances of the incident. Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a military transport plane, AN-22, crashed in the Ivanovo region during a test flight after repairs. A commission from the Russian Aerospace Forces has been dispatched to the crash site to establish all the details of the incident, according to the ministry.
