Iran’s government has initiated an aggressive campaign against espionage in the country following a 12-day war with Israel and America in June 2025. In the past 2 months, Iranian police have conducted widespread raids across the country, leading to the arrest of more than 21 thousand people. The crackdown comes in the wake of accusations of espionage against Israel and America. These arrests are a part of Iran’s efforts to combat espionage activities within its borders.
