Israel receives remains of hostage as Egypt hosts talks

Israeli authorities confirmed receiving the remains of a deceased hostage from Palestinian militants in Gaza, with two more bodies still missing after a fragile ceasefire. The deceased has yet to be identified by the National Centre of Forensic Medicine. Palestinian Islamic Jihad located the remains in Nuseirat earlier this week. Following a deal between Hamas and Israel, all surviving hostages were freed in exchange for Palestinian prisoners and detainees. The agreement also includes returning the remains of hostages in exchange for Palestinian militants.
