South Korean car brand Kia has initiated the countdown for the global launch of their second-generation Seltos. The Seltos facelift is set to make its global debut on December 10th. The company has released a teaser image on social media giving a glimpse of the new design featuring new LED headlamps, a more prominent grille, and a sophisticated rear body profile.
The new redesigned Seltos is larger, sharper, and more premium than the previous model. The cabin will also undergo significant changes. The new Seltos is expected to feature an updated dashboard, new upholstery, and various new features. There is a possibility of a curved dual-screen setup on the Seltos, including a 12.3-inch infotainment and a digital cluster.
According to spy shots and teasers, the length and width of the new Seltos may increase from the current model’s 4,365 mm length and 1,800 mm width. It is anticipated that the new version will increase legroom and shoulder space, enhancing interior comfort for passengers. The SUV’s stance will be more robust and sportier, elevating its road presence and premium feel.
The powertrain options are expected to remain unchanged. The Seltos is likely to offer a 1.5-liter NA petrol, a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. A new 7-speed automatic gearbox is expected to be available in the diesel variant. Additionally, the new Seltos will also come with a hybrid powertrain option worldwide. It is set to launch in India at the beginning of 2026.
