Latest FIFA Ranking: Spain on Top, Indonesia Ranked 122nd

Jakarta – The latest FIFA ranking shows the Spanish National Team still at the top spot, while Indonesia is ranked 122nd. According to detikSport, the new FIFA ranking was released on Wednesday (19/11/2025), one day after the international matches were played. This ranking was issued earlier to determine the teams’ positions in the 2026 Intercontinental World Cup Playoff draw.
Spain, who secured a World Cup ticket with a 5-0 victory against Georgia and a 2-2 draw against Turkey, remains in the top position with 1877.18 points, a decrease of 3.58 from the previous month. Argentina holds the second spot with 1873.33 points, followed by France in third place with 1870 points, England in fourth place with 1834.12 points, and Brazil in fifth place with 1760.46 points.
Portugal now sits in sixth place with 1760.38 points after being overtaken by Brazil, and the Netherlands in seventh place with 1756.27 points. Belgium is in eighth place, while Germany and Croatia return to the top 10 due to their two victories. Meanwhile, Italy has dropped out of the top 10 and fallen three spots to 12th place, below Morocco, who climbed to 11th place.
The latest FIFA ranking also serves as a guide to determine the seeded and unseeded teams for the 2026 World Cup group stage draw on December 5 in Washington. If Italy successfully qualifies from the March Playoffs, they are likely to be placed in Pot 2 along with Croatia. This is because Pot 1 is already filled with the three host countries, the United States, Canada, and Mexico, plus the top nine ranked teams. Meanwhile, the Indonesian National Team, who did not play any international matches, remains stuck in 122nd place. The Latest FIFA Ranking: 1. Spain, 2. Argentina, 3. France, 4. England, 5. Brazil, 6. Portugal, 7. Netherlands, 8. Belgium, 9. Germany, 10. Croatia, 11. Morocco, 12. Italy…122. Indonesia. Read more here (mjy/mjy)
