Louvre Museum Closed After Robbery

Thieves stole nine pieces from Napoleon and Empress’s jewelry collection in the Apollo Gallery, home to the royal collection of precious stones and diamonds. The stolen items reportedly included a necklace, a brooch, and a tiara. According to the French newspaper ‘Le Parisien’, the gang accessed the building through a construction site on the side facing the River Seine, using a freight elevator to reach the Apollo Gallery. Two men entered after breaking the windows while a third remained outside.
