Masud Gharahkhani (Ap) continues as President of the Storting, a position he has held since Eva Kristin Hansen stepped down in November 2021. Gharahkhani was born in Tehran, and his family arrived as refugees from Iran in 1987. As President of the Storting, he holds the highest public office in Norway, after the King.
