Miami Heat Point Guard and Blazers Coach Arrested in Gambling Investigation

Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat point guard Terry Rozier were arrested on Thursday (23) as part of two separate investigations related to gambling, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania. Rozier was arrested at a hotel in Orlando, Florida. The Heat lost their season opener to the Magic on Wednesday, but Rozier did not play due to a coaching decision. Billups’ arrest took place in Oregon and was part of a different case, also related to illegal poker operations, according to ABC News. Billups is expected to appear in court for the first time on Thursday.
