Microsoft to Supply 60,000 Nvidia AI Chips to UAE in US-Approved Deal

Microsoft announced on Monday that it has received approval from the U.S. Commerce Department to supply Nvidia’s cutting-edge artificial intelligence chips to the United Arab Emirates. The company, based in Redmond, Washington, revealed that licenses granted in September with strict safeguards allow them to deliver more than 60,000 Nvidia chips to the Middle Eastern nation, including the highly advanced GB300 Grace Blackwell chips. This move comes in contrast to President Trump’s recent comments during an interview on ’60 Minutes,’ where he stated that such chips would not be exported beyond the U.S.
