Mother and daughter bodies to be buried today

The bodies of a 32-year-old woman and her 6-year-old daughter, who died on Monday afternoon (12/1) after falling from the 10th floor of a hotel in downtown Belo Horizonte, will be wake and buried on Tuesday (12/2). The ceremonies will take place at a cemetery in Sabará, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, from 10 am to 2 pm. The woman turned 32 on November 7, while the child would have turned 7 on November 15. According to the police report, the woman drugged and threw her daughter out of the window and then jumped herself. Another daughter of the woman, aged 13, was also in the room but rejected the suicide “offered” by the mother. Before the crime, the woman said goodbye to her older daughter. ‘Since you decided to stay, I’ll throw your sister first and then I’ll jump. The teenager refused several times the possibility of self-extermination. She said that her mother then stated that the younger sister ‘would not have a choice’ because she was little. Partner reports history of depression The woman’s partner, a 51-year-old man, went to the scene after being informed by relatives. He told the police that the couple had been at a bar the night before, where they argued over trivial matters. According to him, the woman did not want to go back home with him and stayed with the daughters. As she did not return during the night, he thought she had gone to sleep at her mother’s house. He also stated that his partner suffered from depression and had mentioned taking her own life several times. Forensic experts from the Civil Police carried out technical surveys on the 10th floor and at the site of the falls. The preliminary investigation was initiated by the Homicide and Person Protection Department (DHPP) team, which followed the work. The bodies were taken to the Gameleira Institute of Forensic Medicine. The teenage daughter, who was unharmed, remained under the care of her maternal grandmother.
