National Day Box Office Surpasses 1.1 Billion RMB with Unexpected Hits

As the National Day holiday passes its halfway point, the box office has exceeded 1.1 billion RMB. According to Lighthouse Professional Edition data, as of 10:45 on October 5th, this year’s National Day box office (including presales) has reached 11.89 billion RMB.

“This year, the National Day lineup features a variety of genres, including historical war, fantasy action, comedy, crime drama, and animation, catering to different audience demographics such as adults, families, and children,” said Chen Jin, an analyst at Lighthouse Professional Edition.

As of the time of writing, the top five movies at the box office are “Volunteers: Bathed in Blood” (“Volunteers 3”), “731”, “Assassinating a Novelist 2”, “Wandering Life”, and “Deafening”.
