OCS Issues Declaration in China Rejecting Interference in Internal Affairs

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (OCS) rejected on Monday any ‘interference in internal affairs’ and condemned ‘disruptions to international trade,’ following a meeting in China. The OCS, unlike NATO, focuses on cooperation without mutual defense clauses. Its members include China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, accounting for approximately 40% of the world’s population. The organization also includes observer countries and dialogue partners like Egypt, Turkey, Myanmar, and Azerbaijan.
