Pakistan has offered the port in the small coastal fishing town of Pasni as a terminal for shipping critical minerals, located approximately 70 miles from Gwadar and 100 miles from the Pakistan-Iran border. The proposal was shared with Pakistan army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir before a meeting with US President Donald Trump in the White House last month. Two civilian advisers to the army chief revealed the details, highlighting the strategic location of the port for mineral shipments.
