Pedro Raul shines, Ceará secures draw and increases Fortaleza’s desperation

In front of a packed Castelão stadium, a mix of celebration and provocations, Fortaleza conceded a draw to rival Ceará at the 44th minute of the 2nd half, increasing their desperation in the fight against relegation with a 1-1 result. Bareiro almost secured the win for the tricolor team with a celebration provocation, but Pedro Raul equalized in a heroic manner for the alvinegro. Both strikers found the net with header goals, one in each half. The result kept Fortaleza in 19th place, five points behind Vitória, the first team outside the relegation zone. Ceará, on the other hand, reached 39 points and remains mid-table.
