In the past year, Peru has signed three trade agreements with Indonesia, Guatemala, and Hong Kong, as well as improved its existing treaty with China, its main trading partner. According to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Teresa Mera Gomez, the country is also in negotiations with India, Thailand, Uruguay, and El Salvador.
