Ricardo Nunes: ‘We want the federal government to intervene in Enel’

In an interview with CBN News, Mayor Ricardo Nunes discussed the consequences of the tornado that hit São Paulo. ‘What we are doing is putting pressure on a company that unfortunately has not been able to meet the city’s demands. We know that every time there is strong wind or rain, we will go through this. So, we need to make it clear to Enel that this situation is no longer acceptable,’ Mayor Nunes said.

Nunes emphasized the need for a change. ‘We want the federal government to intervene. This is very important. Enel must step up and fulfill its responsibilities,’ he stated.

The mayor explained the urgent need for action. ‘It’s a matter of urgency. We cannot wait for situations like this to happen again. People’s lives are at stake,’ Nunes said.

Nunes highlighted the impact on residents. ‘Families are suffering. The lack of electricity is affecting everyone. Enel needs to take immediate action to restore power to the affected areas,’ he emphasized.

The mayor also addressed the long-term implications. ‘We cannot afford to have this happen repeatedly. Enel must invest in the necessary infrastructure to prevent such disasters in the future,’ he added.

Nunes expressed his frustration with the current situation. ‘It is unacceptable that we are constantly facing power outages and disruptions. Enel needs to improve its services immediately,’ Mayor Nunes concluded.

In conclusion, Mayor Ricardo Nunes called for urgent government intervention. ‘We need the federal authorities to step in and address this issue. The people of São Paulo deserve better,’ he emphasized.
