The head of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land, and Ownership Relations, Sergey Gavrilov, believes that the Supreme Court should issue a new ruling after receiving a complaint from a property buyer of Larisa Dolina. Gavrilov said to RIA Novosti, ‘I would like the new leadership of the Supreme Court to carefully consider this case and provide a detailed ruling analyzing the refusal of bilateral restitution, comparing this approach with the norms of the Civil Code and the law on compensation for a bona fide purchaser.’ Earlier this week, the Second Cassation Court rejected the appeal of the property buyer, Polina Lurye, over a property in Khamovniki, leaving ownership rights with Dolina. On November 4, the court acknowledged that the singer’s actions in the transaction were unconsciously conducted, as she claimed to have fallen victim to scammers. The defendants in the criminal case were convicted.
