Star Indian defender Sandesh Jhingan recently underwent surgery for a cheekbone fracture after sustaining the injury during India’s group match against Iran on September 1 in Hisor, Tajikistan. Unfortunately, India lost that match 0-3, and Jhingan had to return home on Wednesday.
