South African utility Eskom has officially introduced its new renewable energy offtake program. This initiative will allow large consumers in South Africa to enter into power purchase agreements (PPAs) for renewable energy sourced from Eskom-owned sites. The program commenced by launching a 291 MW solar tender, providing an opportunity for large consumers to participate in the renewable energy sector.
