SPARTANBURG — Fairforest Elementary School and Global Academy are the focal points of the Spartanburg County measles outbreak, according to the Department of Public Health’s statement on Oct. 8. Fairforest Academy belongs to Spartanburg County School District 6, while Global Academy is a charter school in the area. The outbreak of measles in South Carolina has been traced back to these two educational institutions, raising concerns among parents, students, and local authorities.
