Survivors in Asia Request Urgent Aid Following Deadly Floods and Landslides

Emergency crews are working tirelessly to respond to the devastating floods and landslides that recently hit parts of Asia, claiming the lives of more than 1,500 individuals. Despite ongoing relief efforts, the sheer magnitude of the catastrophe has overwhelmed rescue teams. Authorities have reported 883 fatalities in Indonesia, 486 in Sri Lanka, 185 in Thailand, and three in Malaysia. Many villages in Indonesia and Sri Lanka remain buried under debris, with nearly 900 individuals still missing in both countries. Meanwhile, recovery efforts are progressing in Thailand and Malaysia.
