On August 31 to September 1, 2025, the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will be held in Tianjin. This will be China’s fifth time hosting the SCO Summit and the largest gathering since the organization’s inception. President Xi Jinping will meet with over 20 foreign leaders and 10 heads of international organizations to review the ‘SCO experience,’ outline the ‘SCO blueprint,’ and consolidate the ‘SCO consensus.’ They will discuss cooperation plans and future prospects, guiding the SCO towards a closer-knit community of shared destiny.
For those who aspire, success is always within reach. In its 24 years of existence, the SCO has endured the challenges of a rapidly changing global landscape, striving for unity, mutual trust, development, and cooperation. Throughout this journey, it has emerged as a beacon of progress among regional international organizations, actively fostering constructive engagement in global and regional affairs, promoting mutual respect, fairness, and win-win cooperation. Reflecting on the vibrant ‘SCO story,’ one can clearly see the ‘Chinese imprint,’ as China unwaveringly shines the ‘Shanghai Spirit’ through ‘Chinese actions’ and drives the SCO ship forward with the ‘China Engine.’
