The Pentagon fires Intelligence Agency Chief after critical report on Iran

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has dismissed Lieutenant General Jeffrey Kruse, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), following a White House criticism of a review that evaluated the impact of recent Iranian attacks. The decision to remove Kruse from his position came after the report contradicted the White House’s stance on Iran. “The timing of the report’s release was inappropriate and the findings were significantly flawed,” stated a White House spokesperson.
