The Sichuan Road Thrills Travelers – People’s Daily Online

In the Mingyue Gorge, the Sichuan Road unfolds before the eyes. Ancient pathways like the pre-Qin plank road and the Jinniu post road wind and twist underfoot. In the distance, the Jialing River, the Walled Boat Path, walk side by side while the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed rail and the Beijing-Kunming highway cut through mountains on either side. The clear waters of the Sichuan River and green mountains amaze travelers on the Sichuan Road.

“The way to Sichuan is harder than reaching the sky!” Li Bai’s words of amazement have echoed through the ages, but today the Sichuan Road is no longer difficult.

Stepping into a new era, with intermodal transportation and air network connections, the journey along the Sichuan Road knows no bounds.
