Timur Kapadze Visits Indonesia Amidst Strong Speculation to Train the Garuda National Team

Former Uzbekistan national team coach, Timur Kapadze, has visited Indonesia. Timur’s arrival has sparked controversy as he is strongly rumored to be in the running to train the Red and White National Team. Timur has recently parted ways with the Uzbekistan national team, although he successfully led Uzbekistan to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. ‘First of all, I want to thank all football lovers. It is a great honor for me, and I first visited Indonesia in 2009 as a football player playing against Saudi Arabia, where I stopped by Jakarta,’ he said to reporters at Istiqlal Mosque area, as quoted by detikSepakbola on Friday (11/21/2025). ‘I came here at the invitation of Effendi Gazali,’ he added.
