The weather department has issued a warning for the possibility of heavy showers in several districts of Tamil Nadu. According to the weather warning, the lower atmospheric pressure area with scattered thunderstorms is prevailing over the Laccadive Sea and adjoining areas of the Maldives region, as well as over the Arabian Sea and adjoining areas of the Lakshadweep region. This system is likely to move in a north-northeast direction and intensify. Consequently, by the 22nd, a low-pressure area with a potential for heavy showers may form over the southwest Bay of Bengal regions.
