TN Weather Update: The depression formed in the Bay of Bengal has transformed into a cyclonic storm in the Puducherry region, bringing good rainfall in Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu. The storm has caused major flooding in Sri Lanka. While about 600 residential areas are in a critical situation, more than 200 people lost their lives in Tamil Nadu due to the severe storm. However, there has been good rainfall in northern districts including Chennai. On December 2, a deep depression resulted in heavy rainfall in various districts, continuing to this day.
